Dr. Mohannad Barakat Has Made Useful Contributions To The Field of Trauma Surgery

Dr. Mohannad Jamil Barakat has the Oxford Teaching the Teachers certificate, and is an examiner on the Miller FRCS course. He is involved with the teaching and examination of students, junior and senior doctors at various stages of their education, allied professionals, and theatre staff at local, national and international level. He is a reviewer for the British Medical Journal, Journal of Joint and Bone Surgery, and the European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. His qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (trauma and orthopaedics), membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, MB ChB and Bsc Neuroanatomy honours. He received awards in all his years of the university. He also obtained distinctions in the areas of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pathology.

His professional experience includes performing all aspects of trauma surgery from simple to the very complex of trauma cases. These include all emergency trauma surgery, external fixation and frame ring fixation for fractures, long bone fractures, humeral fractures, all hand fractures, all knee fractures, ankle fractures and all paediatric fractures. He has special expertise in performing elective surgeries including spinal surgery. He provides the best quality care services to the patients. He takes care of their needs and resolves their medical issues timely.

Dr. Mohannad Barakat is an active member of the society and supports several charitable organizations that are working for the upliftment of the society. He contributes towards Cancer Research and Help The Aged. He likes music, going out and socializing with people. He loves to share opinions with like-minded people. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, volleyball, football, tennis and cricket. His involvement with games helps him to stay fit and healthy. He makes sure that he finds out time from his hectic schedules to pursue his hobbies and interests. He is also fond of travelling and has visited many countries across the globe. His travel expeditions help him to understand situations from another person’s perspective in a better way.
